Notes

2. Thomas White

Emmigrated in 1630.  Called "about 60" in a deposition taken in 1659.  He was a Carpenter.
Citizen of Weymouth in 1630.
An early writer stated that he was a son of William White, who came over in the Mayflower and who according to tradition left his Son Thomas in England to be educated.
Made a freeman at Weymouth, Mass on 3 March 1635/36.
From 1637-1657 continuously, he was selected to represent Weymouth in the General Court at Boston.
He had 21 acres in Weymouth in 1636.  Owner of 75 acres in Weymouth, and his residence was near the present turnpike leading from Quincy to Higham, in what is now North Weymouth in the district long familiarly known as "Old Spain".
Took oath of Allegiance to His Majesty, Charles II in 1678-79.
Died between 5 July 1679, when he wrote his will and 28 August 1679 when his inventory was taken - Suffolk Probate #1111.  His will mentions Sons Joseph, Samuel, Thomas, Ebenezer and a daughter Hannah.  Mentions also, Grandshildren Lydia, Mary and Ebenezer White and Hannah Baxter.  His wife is not mentioned, so was evidently deceased.
