Picture #1 is believed to be of John Emmerson. The picture is from a tin type found in an albumn of William Wesley McDonald and Lucinda Mariah Emmerson. If John Emmerson, the photo was probably taken about 1864 when John was about age 30.

Picture #2 is believed to be a picture of Mary Mariah Decker and probably Lucinda Mariah Emmerson, her daughter. The picture was taken at the same time as that of John Emmerson in #1 above. If Mary Mariah Decker, she would have been about age 24.

Picture #3 is a picture of John Emmerson and Mary Mariah Decker. The picture was taken from a tin type, and was taken about 1883, probably just prior to the death of Mary Mariah Decker. John would have been age 49 and Mary age 42. This tin type was found in the possession of the descendants of William Wesley McDonald and Lucinda Mariah Emmerson, and the back had been scratched with "M & F" for Father & Mother.

Picture #4 of John Emmerson and his second wife, Annie Mary Jansen was probably taken about the time of their marriage in 1884. The picture was marked with "Miller, Minneapolis", and was taken from a 4" x 6" Cabinet Card. This picture was in the possession of William Wesley McDonald and Lucinda Mariah Emmerson.

Picture #5 is a picture of John Emmerson his second wife Annie Mary Jansen, and probably their daughter Gertrude Maud. The picture was probably taken about 1889. The picture was marked with "LEE BROS., 221 Nicollet Avenue, Minneapolis". It was found in the albumn of William Wesley McDonald and Lucinda Mariah Emmerson, and was taken from a 4" x 6" Cabinet Card.

Picture #6 is a picture of Sarah Elizabeth Emmerson, Daughter of John Emmerson and Mary Mariah Decker, and her husband James Henry McDonald. The original was taken from a Tin Type in the possession of the descendants of William Wesley McDonald and Lucinda Mariah Emmerson. The photo was probably taken about 1885.
