Settled in Northampton, where he died soon after his arrival.  He had bought land before leaving England and brought with him irons and other articles, to be used in the erection of a mill.
Middletown MM, 3, 10 M 1684 - John Pursley and Elizabeth Walmsley also did publish thier intentions of marriage with each other it being the first time therefore.


John Purslowe or Purslone

John Purslone emiigrated in Aug 1677 in the Delaware River in the ship "Phoenix".  Captain Shaw.  He was a farmer form Ireland.
9 7M 1685 appointed constable for the "further side of Neshamania", Bensalem Township.
Witness at the court of Quarter Sessions 1 Mo 9, 1689, age 60.
John Purslone was evidently a good Step Father, as shown by the Orphan Court, Bucks County, Pa, dated 14 1st Month, 1690/91.
Petition by Thomas Walmsley's Father in law, John Purslone.  Thomas Walmsley's Son, Henry is in the service of Nicholas Waln for several years against the will of relations.
