Portrait and Biographical Album of Dekalb County, Illinois, 885. - Lyman Judd settled on section 1, Mayfiedl Twp.  Native of New York, but came from Indiana in June 1835.  About 1858 he moved to Minnesota and settled in Rice County wherehe died.

Mary A. Phillips may have died 18 Jan 1875, and may be a daughter of John Phillips.

Newspaper - John Judd died Dec 29, 1872 at Mayfield;  age 75.  He was kicked by a mule, attended by Dr. Garvin who was in the neighborwood, 1 Jan 1873.
