Thomas Cornell

Co-founded Westchester, north of New Amsterdam (later NYC) in 1643.  Returned to Portsmouth on Aqudneck Island, Rhode Island 1644.
The family were Quakers.
To Boston from England in 1638.
Thomas Jr. hanged for the murder of his Mother.  Burned in fire.  See book "The Death of Rebecca Cornell' by Elaine Forman Crane.
Will of Rebecca Cornell, dated 2 Sep 1664, proved 1673.  Mentions Son Thomas and his eldest Son Thomas & his wife Elizabeth.  Sons Richard, William, John, Samuel, & Joshua.  Daughters Sarah, Anne (husband Thomas), Rebecca, Elizabeth & Mary.
