John Barber was an apprentice to Francis Stiles - 18 Dec 1634. Records of the worshipful Company of Carpenters at the Guildhall, in the minutes of a meeting held on 18 Dec 1634 - "Received of Francis Stiles for Apprenticary Thomas Barber, Son of John Barber of Stamford in the County of Lincoln, yeoman, deceased, from St. Thomas' day next for 9 years, 25 shillings pence"
