Reported in 1643 as one of the 5 Lathrops of Barnstable able to bear arms.
1648, moved to New London, Connecticut.

Thomas came to America with Francis Stiles of London.  He was an Carpenter apprentice to Francis Stiles.  From the minutes of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters at Guildhall the following was found dated 18 December 1634, page 352 "Received of Francis Stiles for apprenticing Thomas Barber son of John Barber of Stamford in the County of Lincoln, yeoman, deceased, from St. Thomas's day next for 9 years 2s 2d".

One of the 19 signers and grantees of the Connecticut Charter of 1662.
Will of Daniel Clark, died 12 Aug 1710, written 31 Aug 1709 - Wife, 3 daughters Elizabeth, Mary & Sara.  Son John, Samuel, Daniel & Josias.  Son in law Roger Wolcot.
