3. William Almy

William Almy came alone to America first between 1628 and 1631.  He was in Lynn, Mass in 1631 where he was fined for taking and using a canoe without permission.  Before 1634, he went back to England.
In 1635 he, William Almond, aged 34, returned to America on the ship "Abigail" with his wife Awdry Almond, age 32, Annie Almy, age 8, and Chri: Almie, age 3.
In 1635 he settled in Lynn, Mass & in 1637 removed to Sandwich, Barnstable, Mass.
1642 sold dwelling house in Sandwich, Mass and removed to Portsmouth, RI.
Will dated 28 Feb 1676/7, proved 23 Apr 1677 - names Sons Christopher, Job, & John;  daughters Anna, wife of John Green, Catherine, wif of West;  Grandson Bartholomew West.
Spring 1637 founded Sandwich on Cape Cod, Plymouth.
