Portrait and Biographical Album of Dekalb County, Illinois, 885. - Lyman Judd settled on section 1, Mayfiedl Twp.  Native of New York, but came from Indiana in June 1835.  About 1858 he moved to Minnesota and settled in Rice County wherehe died.

John Judd Jr. died at the Faribault School for the Feeble minded.  The cause of death was broken compensation of heart 11 days, and chronic endocarditis.
John S. Judd was never married.
